Road Safety and Parking

Students riding bicycles/scooters to school need parental guidance and training with respect to road safety. Please note that bicycle helmets must be worn. Everyone must dismount before entering the school grounds and walk their bicycle/scooter to the bike racks. Bicycles/scooters should be locked up whilst in the racks to minimise the possibility of theft. Students need to provide their own lock. Please remember that children under the age of ten do not have sufficient maturity to ride bicycles on public roads.

At Madora Bay Primary School, we are fortunate to have many parking bays for use by our school community. Families living close to the school are encouraged to walk or cycle to school, which will ease traffic congestion at peak times. Please only park in marked bays, take care when moving off from parking, observe the 40km/h school zone and be considerate of pedestrians and other road users. ACROD parking bays should only be used by those who hold a valid permit.

Our school has a designated Drop and Drive facility for parents who don't require to park or come into the school. Please ensure you follow the one-way system and prepare your child to exit the car on the left hand side to keep traffic flowing smoothly and the area safe.
