Social and Emotional Learning

Social and emotional learning is the process through which children and adults understand and manage emotions, set and achieve positive goals, feel and show empathy for others, establish and maintain positive relationships, and make responsible choices. 

The Madora Bay Primary School Social and Emotional Learning Framework incorporates Zones of RegulationProtective Behaviours and Bounce Back!, all underpinned by school-wide Trauma-Informed Practices. The Framework includes all elements of the WA Curriculum's Personal and Social Capability including self-awareness, self-management, social awareness and social management.
